Though our visit was short -- and hot -- we got a lot done. We look forward to bringing some of the students back next year!
This project is made possible through the partnership of Dupont Pioneer, Halau ʻO Kaululauaʻe, Mālama Learning Center and many more caring hands! Mālama Learning Center is a non-profit organization that brings art, science, conservation, and culture together to promote sustainable living throughout Hawai‘i. We are located in West O‘ahu, in the city of Kapolei.

June Work Day with the Mālama ʻĀina Field School
We brought our team of 40+ students and teachers from the Mālama ʻĀina Field School at Nānākuli to the Mālaola for a bit of work this summer. Some of the students came to the Mālaola last year and noted how much it has changed -- for the better! We focused on tackling the weeds growing around the plantings to give them more freedom to grow.
